My work focuses on people and the impact they achieve together. Successful collaboration is based on strong coalitions - a topic that is more relevant today than ever. But how is it possible to forge sustainable alliances with people who have different interests and backgrounds? Three key elements have a decisive influence on success
1. Leadership
Successful teams need a clear leader who inspires people for a common idea. It is important to recognize the individual strengths of each team member and use them profitably. A focus on achievable goals and a clear strategy for achieving common goals are essential. A willingness to compromise plays a central role here.
2. Openness and mutual respect
Transparency and mutual respect are basic prerequisites for sustainable collaboration. Every person is unique and has different needs and reaction patterns. A culture of appreciation and tolerance not only promotes cohesion, but also a cooperative way of working that goes beyond self-interest.
3. Communication based on trust
The way in which we communicate determines whether trust is created or uncertainty is stirred up. As the saying goes: “The tone makes the music”. Our words, but also our facial expressions and gestures, have a significant influence on interpersonal relationships. Honest, respectful and constructive communication creates a culture of trust in which teams can develop and find solutions together instead of apportioning blame.
